Sad news this week. Once again we have enquired about rejoining the Welsh Organic scheme. Only to be told that unless we can find a winery that is also certified as Organic then we can not label our bottles as '' Organic" wine. This is really disappointing for us. There are no wineries taking on contract winemaking in Wales and we would have to transport our grapes hundreds of miles (which is not good for the grapes) to reach an Organically certified winery and if we do this we will then lose our PGI status as the grapes would have crossed over four county lines to be processed.....frustrating.
If anyone would like to finance a small building for our winery, we have planning permission. Then get in touch. We may even give you a free bottle or two.
